2018-11-23 :: Irina Karelina Participated in the EUSBSR Horizontal Action Neighbours Stakeholder meeting 2018 (Turku, Finland)

On November 23, Director-General of ICSER Leontief Centre Irina Karelina participated in the EUSBSR Horizontal Action Neighbours Stakeholder meeting (Turku, Finland). The meeting focused on Russian and Belarussian cooperation possibilities with the EUSBSR in the light of the CBSS Vision Report elaborated by the CBSS Vision Group that has been set up to create recommendations for a vision for the Baltic Sea Region beyond 2020. Issues discussed at the meeting in Turku:

• Cooperation challenges for Russian and Belarussian stakeholders with the EUSBSR in the light of the report of the CBSS Vision Group;
• Roadmap and Action Plan;
• Proposals for specific activities and initiatives.
  

Irina Karelina took part in the discussion and made proposals for the Action Plan.

Besides, Irina Karelina took part in the seminar “The Future of Baltic Sea Region Cooperation – Focus on the Council of the Baltic Sea States”, organised by the Baltic Area Legal Studies (BALEX) in cooperation with EUSBSR HA Neighbours. The seminar aimed to discuss the challenges facing the CBSS and Baltic Sea region cooperation and to share information about the CBSS, taking into account Baltic Sea Area governance structures more generally.
