2019-04-12 :: Olga Iakimenko Took Part in the 1st Module Baltic 2030 Capacity-Building Programme – Localizing SDGs (Riga, Latvia)

On April 11-12, the Head of Internet Projects and Marketing Communications Olga Iakimenko took in part the 1st module of the Baltic 2030 Capacity-Building Programme – Localizing Sustainable Development Goals, organized in Riga (Latvia) by the Council of the Baltic Sea States – Baltic 2030 and Swedish think-tank Global Utmaning.

The module aimed to develop capacity on how SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities can be localized and used as strategic policy- and action guiding frameworks. Olga Iakimenko presented the CityZen Index – a tool developed by the Green Mobility Initiative, which is coordinated by the Leontief Centre. CityZen Index is a city ranking developed by an international team of Green Mobility experts, which evaluates safety, comfort and quality of urban environment, and also corresponds to SDG 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. CityZen Index contains basic indicators of safe, comfortable, attractive and healthy city, and aims to identify how residents are satisfied with life and development of their cities.
