2018-11-02 :: Leontief Centre Experts Took Part in a Kick-Off Seminar on the Project “REVIVAL: Towards a Better Understanding and Use of Local Assets in Territories with Geographic Specificities” (Kazbegi, Georgia)

On November 1-2, Secretary General Elena Belova and Head of Research Department Nina Oding took part in a kick-off seminar on the project “REVIVAL: Towards a better understanding and use of local assets in territories with geographic specificities” (Kazbegi, Georgia). The project aims at discussing how Transitional Labour Markets (TLM) and Residential Economy (RE) approaches can help increasing the attractiveness of Territories with Geographical Specificities (TGS) – coastal, island, mountain.

Nina Oding gave a presentation entitled “Regional Development in Russia: trends and potentials for the North-West” with practical examples of coastal (Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region) and remote border territories (Ruskeala, Republic of Karelia) development.
